VIDEO: Ocasio-Cortez Explodes On House Floor
Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez absolutely erupted on the House Floor over the Republican Party’s decision to boot Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar off of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
According to Fox, Ocasio-Cortez accused the GOP of racism and said they were “targeting women of color” by giving Omar the boot however Republicans have said the only reason they voted Omar out was because of her past antisemitic and anti-American comments.
Angry AOC also then accused Republicans of elevating Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to high-profile committee assignments even though she has made antisemitic comments as well.
Ocasio-Cortez then doubled down on Republicans and shockingly said, “I think one of the things that we should talk about here is also one of the disgusting legacies after 9/11 — has been the targeting and racism against Muslim Americans throughout the United States of America”.
“And this is an extension of that legacy!” AOC screamed in defense of Omar.
Ocasio-Cortez even decided to go as far as saying Republican Paul Gosar “threatened” her and Omar’s life by sharing an anime cartoon depicting violence.
“Consistency? There is nothing consistent with the Republican Party’s continued attack, except for the racism and incitement of violence against women of color in this body. I had a member of the Republican Caucus threaten my life and the Republican Caucus rewarded him with one of the most prestigious committee assignments in this Congress,” Ocasio-Cortez shouted.
She added, “Don’t tell me this is about consistency! Don’t tell me that this is about a condemnation of antisemitic remarks when you have a member of the Republican caucus who has talked about Jewish space lasers and an entire amount of tropes, and also elevated her to some of the highest committee assignments in this body!”
