U.S. Capitol Evacuated
The U.S. Capitol was recently evacuated after police spotted an aircraft that posed “a probable threat.”

However, according to Wink News it turned out that the plane was just carrying members of the U.S. Army Golden Knights who were going to parachute into Nationals Park for a pregame demonstration.
The alert from the U.S. Capitol Police however did force congressional staffers into a frenzy as they exited the Capitol and legislative building at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Government officials were heavily criticized for the evacuation because it highlighted a stunning communications failure between the military and the Capitol Police. Washington has repeatedly claimed that they are very focused about improving security however this mistake proves just the opposite.
