Biden Gets Defeated
It now appears that President Biden, Senator Chuck Schumer, and a number of other Democrats were left shellshocked after Democrat Senator Joe Manchin shut down Biden’s newest version of the Green New Deal.
According to Breitbart, Manchin killed the Democrats’ Green New Deal package after several weeks of negotiations with other Democrats to build a bill that he would support. Manchin’s decision comes just seven months after he derailed President Biden’s “Build Back Better” plan as well.
Manchin’s spokeswoman explained, “Political headlines are of no value to the millions of Americans struggling to afford groceries and gas as inflation soars to 9.1 percent. Senator Manchin believes it’s time for leaders to put political agendas aside, re-evaluate and adjust to the economic realities the country faces to avoid taking steps that add fuel to the inflation fire.”
“Senator Manchin has not walked away from the table,” Manchin’s spokeswoman added.
The liberals media and Democrats have had a complete meltdown over Manchin’s move. Many Democrats and liberals believe that Manchin’s decision to kill their new climate bill shatters President Biden’s efforts to address climate change.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer openly admitted that he and many Democrats were left “shellshocked” after trusting Manchin.
