FBI, Clinton Plotted To Bring Down Trump
Special Counsel John Durham and his team are now making their opening arguments in court about how former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann used the FBI as a “tool” to create an “October surprise” against Donald Trump to ruin his presidential election chances.
According to Fox, Sussmann is accused of lying to the FBI by telling them that he was not working for “any clients” when he gave them allegedly phony evidence that tied Trump to Russia. Sussmann was actually working for Hillary Clinton the entire time.
John Durham’s team is fighting in court to prove that Sussmann was actually working for two clients: the Hillary Clinton campaign and a technology executive, Rodney Joffe. Durham also claims to have evidence that Sussmann billed Hillary Clinton for the work her did after his meeting with former FBI General Counsel James Baker and providing him with allegedly phony evidence.
Sussmann has pleaded not guilty.
Federal prosecutor Deborah Brittain Shaw said in her opening statement, “Privilege of a lawyer who thought he could lie to the FBI without consequences; privilege of a lawyer who thought that for the powerful, normal rules didn’t apply.”
Shaw later added, “We are here because the FBI is our institution that should don’t be used as a political tool for anyone — not Republicans, not Democrats, not anyone.”
Shaw then accused Sussmann of successfully accomplishing, “a plan that used and manipulated the FBI. A plan that the defendant hoped would trigger news outlets and trigger an FBI investigation. A plan that largely succeeded.”
It looks like the walls are closing in on Hillary Clinton and we are one step closer to finding the truth.
