Top Democrat Caught Spreading Disgusting Lie

The Republicans are calling for House Minority Leader, Hakeem Jeffries, to issue an apology promptly for his statement suggesting that “far-right MAGA Republicans do not support teaching American children about the Holocaust.”

According to Fox, while participating in a House hearing on Thursday concerning the Parent’s Bill of Rights Act proposed by Republicans, which aims to “protect and respect the rights of parents” in public schools across the country, Hakeem Jeffries used the opportunity to criticize the GOP during his remarks on the House floor.

Jeffries sparked outrage and stated, “Extreme MAGA Republicans don’t want the children of America to learn about the Holocaust.”

“What else do they want to ban? They want to ban a book called Melissa, a book describing in very personal terms the experience of a trans girl beginning to understand her identity. What’s so dangerous about that?” Jeffries added.

Following Hakeem Jeffries’ statement, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) press secretary, Will Reinert, swiftly condemned the comment as a “repugnant falsehood.”

“Hakeem Jeffries must immediately apologize for his disgusting lie. The Democratic caucus is full of defenders of extreme anti-Semitic comments — highlighted by the vote to keep Ilhan Omar on the Foreign Affairs Committee,” the NRCC said in a statement.

According to the proposed Parent’s Bill of Rights Act by the Republicans, schools would need to be open and honest with parents about their children’s education curriculum and any related concerns. Additionally, the legislation requires that schools that receive federal funding must receive parental approval before modifying a student’s pronoun or “permitting a child to alter their sex-based facilities, such as restrooms or changing rooms.”

Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also attacked the bill and called it “fascism.”
