NBA Star Snaps, Trashes Trump
In a strange new decision, NBA superstar Steph Curry decided to become wildly political and said that Americans should see President Trump and his decision to run again in 2024 as a serious “threat” to Democracy.
According to The Hill, the Golden State Warriors star told the Rolling Stones “Take Trump seriously? Of course” after being asked about it.
Curry went on to say, “Most of his rhetoric — before he was president, during his last four years, and even now, if he tries to run again — has a tone of divisiveness that doesn’t have a place in our country.”
Curry then said, “As serious and as loud as the threat is of him or whoever else is running for office. There’s a similar urgency and a loudness that’s necessary on the other side.”
This isn’t Curry’s first time attacking former President Donald Trump, in 2017 after winning the NBA Championship, Curry said that he didn’t want his team to visit the White House to celebrate their NBA championship victory.
“What I try to do is be real, but also activate conversation that is sometimes uncomfortable,” Curry added.
While it’s surprising to see Steph Curry bash Trump in the media, it’s funny that most Americans don’t realize is he is often controlled by none other than former President Barack Obama.
Once in 2018, Steph Curry went on a podcast and said he didn’t believe Americans landed on the moon. Curry said that Obama didn’t like his comments about the moon landing and wrote him a rude email telling him to change his opinion on the matter. “I got an email. It was a pretty stern, direct one from President Obama,” Curry confessed
“You’ve got to do something about this,” Obama wrote to Curry in the email.
Obama then instructed Curry to hold an Instagram live event with a former astronaut to set the record straight and Curry did as he was told.
