Should Voter ID Be Mandatory?

The Squad Goes After Pelosi

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez already thinks that she and the progressive Democrats run the show and have gone ahead and set a March 1st deadline for voting on President Biden’s Build Back Better bill. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on the other hand isn’t going to be taking their orders and said that she won’t “wouldn’t subscribe” to their demands.

According to Newsmax, Pelosi stated, “We will pass the bill when we have the votes to pass the bill, and we cannot stop pressing for that.”

She then said, “We have a number of pieces of legislation that we’re working on, but the [‘Build Back Better’] is absolutely essential. I hope that they’re right. I don’t subscribe to any particular date.”

This comes as a blow to progressive Democrats such as Rep. Pramila Jayapal and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who want to force a March 1st deadline which is just before Biden’s annual State of the Union address.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that Biden and the White House has no deadline set when it comes to the BBB bill, “No, we have not set a deadline. No,”
