VIDEO: McConnell Kicks Trump While He’s Down

On Tuesday, Senator Mitch McConnell, who serves as the Minority Leader, evaded a question from reporters about his opinion regarding the indictment of former President Donald Trump.

According to Newsweek, in late March, Donald Trump achieved a historic distinction as the first former U.S. president to be indicted. A grand jury indicted him over his alleged involvement in hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels. While many Republicans expressed disbelief and anger, even potential presidential contender Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared that the state would not assist in Trump’s extradition to New York. Mitch McConnell, on the other hand, refrained from commenting on Trump’s indictment and subsequent arrest and arraignment. On Tuesday, McConnell was asked directly by a reporter about his position on the matter, but he declined to provide a clear answer, leaving his stance on the issue still uncertain.

A reporter recently questioned McConnell, in a video that was first broadcasted on C-SPAN and later shared on Twitter by the account Acyn, about his comfort level regarding the fact that his party’s primary candidate for the presidential election is dealing with criminal charges and could potentially face a trial during the campaign.

McConnell showed his true colors and brazenly dodged the question saying, “Well, let me put it this way. I may have hit my head but I didn’t hit it that hard. Good try.

The clip of McConnell humiliating Trump almost immediately went viral and sparked outrage among Republican voters.
