GOP Drops Trump
You have already read our previous story about Fox News banning Trump from their platform, now it looks like some Republican Senators are thinking that a Trump 2024 run could damage their chances of winning.
According to The Hill, a number of GOP Senators believe that the Jan. 6 committee hearings have damaged Trump’s name too much for him to be the nominee again in 2024.
Furthermore, one Republican Senator who asked The Hill to remain anonymous said that there has been a “cascade” of embarrassing details which have been revealed about Trump’s conduct during the days around the Jan. 6 Capitol riot which has damaged his chances of re-election.
“I don’t think he’ll run again, and that’s a good thing, because of the whole cascade of events,” the anonymous senator said.
Then a second Senator who also asked to be anonymous said, “I could count on one hand the number of Republican senators who want Donald Trump to be our nominee. I could count it on one finger.”
While most of the Republican Party is staying anonymous about their “true” feelings about former President Trump they still are publicly endorsing him and are saying that he is still the leader of the GOP.
Will Trump earn the GOP nomination in 2024 once again? Only time will tell however Republican voters definitely want Trump back.
