Top Republican Calls Trump A Liar
In a shocking turn of events, it appears that Arizona Republican House Speaker Rusty Bowers suggested that former President Donald Trump was lying about a phone call they had after the 2020 presidential election. Bowers also claims that he never told Trump the election was rigged.
According to Yahoo, things began when Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff began asking Bowers about the phone call between him and Trump following the election.
Schiff pointed out the Trump claimed that “Bowers told me that the election was rigged and that I won Arizona.”
Bowers immediately denied those claims and said, “I did have a conversation with the president. That certainly isn’t it, but there were parts of it that are true, but there are parts that are not.”
Bowers added, “Anywhere, anyone, anytime has said that I said that the election was rigged, that would not be true.”
Schiff then asked, “And when the former president in his statement today claimed that you told him that he won Arizona, is that also false?”
“That is also false,” Bowers said.
