Biden Sides With GOP, Pelosi Snaps
President Biden recently did something very out of character and actually sided with the Republicans by refusing to veto a Republican resolution to overturn parts of the District of Columbia’s new crime bill.
Biden decision actually showed that he wasn’t absolutely insane like the rest of the Democratic Party and now former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is attacking for it.
According to Newsmax, Pelosi condemned President Biden during an event at the University of Chicago. Pelosi stated, “I wish he would’ve told us first because this was a hard vote for the House members.”
Pelosi then raged about the fact that Biden didn’t try to negotiate with the Democrats and said, “I understand why some people voted against. But if the president’s going to do it, hey, could you give us a heads up, too, in the House?”
Democrats were trying to let crime run rampant in Washington D.C. and Biden wasn’t going to stand for it. This may be the first time that President Biden has stood against Democrats and Republicans are applauding him for having the common sense to do so.
Biden even took to Twitter and practically told Democrats they were insane writing, “I support D.C. Statehood and home-rule — but I don’t support some of the changes D.C. Council put forward over the Mayor’s objections — such as lowering penalties for carjackings. If the Senate votes to overturn what D.C. Council did — I’ll sign it.”
