Biden To LOCKDOWN Country Again?
Now that the World Health Organization has just raised concerns of a new COVID-19 variant being called the COVID-19 omicron variant, President Biden had just now decided to ban travel from South Africa and seven other nations as well.
According to Fox, Biden and his administration will consult with Dr. Anthony Fauci and the CDC and has already restricted travel from several African countries already. Furthermore officials have labelled this new variant as “heavily mutated”.
The COVID-19 Omicron variant also known as variant B.1.1.529 is claimed to be highly contagious especially among young people.
“This morning I was briefed by my chief medical advisor, Dr. Tony Fauci, and the members of our COVID response team, about the Omicron variant, which is spreading through Southern Africa,” Biden stated. “As a precautionary measure until we have more information, I am ordering additional air travel restrictions from South Africa and seven other countries. These new restrictions will take effect on November 29.”
Biden then doubled down on vaccinations and insisted that this disease will not stop spreading until their is global vaccinations.
Currently, there is no indication that the omicron variant has made its way to the United States.
The omicron variant was first reported to the WHO in South Africa on November 24th.
