Trump Condemns Republican Cowards

Former President Donald Trump condemned the Republicans who decided not to appear at the NRA’s convention in Houston just days after the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas and people have mixed emotions about his words.

According to Fox, Trump stated at the convention, “I’m honored to be here in the great state of Texas, with the wonderful patriots of the NRA. And unlike some, I didn’t disappoint you by not showing up. Got to show up.

Several Republicans decided not to show up following the horrific school shooting in Uvalde with the three most prominent Republicans to not come being Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, and Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas.

Governor Abbott was in Uvalde, Texas, While Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw was in Ukraine and Sen. John Cornyn saying he simply decided to withdraw from the convention due to personal matters.

The NRA convention came under fire after the tragic school shooting which many protestors demanded for it to be canceled.

Liz Hanks who is the leader of the Texas chapter of the gun control group Moms Demand Action condemned the convention and said, “We can’t protect out children at our churches. We can’t protect our community members in their grocery stores. We can’t protect people driving down the street.”
