Democrats Move To Rewrite The Constitution
This plan has been brewing in the Democratic party for a long time and likely still is.
Now it appears that none other than one of the founding editors for “Politico” John F. Harris is demanding that the Constitution be rewritten to ensure that Trump is prevented from ever running again.
This is exactly the movement President Biden, Speaker Pelosi, and far-left Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez want brewing in the Democratic Party.
According to Fox, Harris declared, “The Best Way To Save The Constitution From Donald Trump Is To Rewrite It.”
After Harris called former President Donald Trump a “constitutional menace” he claimed that Trump abused the Constitution’s “defects” in order to stay in power. Politico then claimed that in order to keep Trump out of office, Democrats must push liberal ideas and even “work around” the Constitution to get their way.
Harris explained, “Correcting or circumventing what progressives reasonably perceive as the infirmities of the Constitution, in fact, seems likely to be the preeminent liberal objective of the next generation. Progress on issues ranging from climate change to ensuring that technology giants act in the public interest will hinge on creating a new constitutional consensus. Trying to place more sympathetic justices on the Supreme Court is not likely to be a fully adequate remedy.”
Harris then began picking apart the Constitution and claimed that it gave states too much power for themselves. Harris wrote, “There are more fundamental challenges embedded in the document itself — in particular the outsized power it gives to states, at a time when the most urgent problems and most credible remedies are national in character.”
Harris even went as far as saying that too many conservatives and Trump supports worship the Constitution and it needed to be changed quickly by Democrats.
