In a surprising turn of events, U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi flew out to Ukraine to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv.
According to Newmax, Pelosi vowed to continue supporting Ukraine’s war against Russia after news was released that Moscow struck Ukraine’s weapons supplied by Western nations.
Pelosi is now the highest ranking U.S. Politician to stand in support of Ukraine. After her meeting with Zelenskyy Pelosi stated, “Our delegation traveled to Kyiv to send an unmistakable and resounding message to the entire world: America stands firmly with Ukraine.”
Pelosi then condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin’s actions and referred to his attack on Ukraine as a “diabolic invasion.”
On Friday Pelosi also hoped that the $33 billion aid package that President Biden had asked for would quickly be passed to further assist Ukraine.
