Manafort Backstabs Trump, Helps Hillary Case
In a recently released interview with Business Insider, former Donald Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort claimed that he was in contact with several Russians and was sharing information with them during Trump’s 2016 run for the presidency.
The liberal media has pushed countless claims of Russian involvement in 2016 election and now Manafort is claiming that he gave polling data to Russians specifically to “Konstantin Kilimnik, a longtime business associate with suspected ties to Russian intelligence.”
According to Raw Story, “Kilimnik then passed the data on to Russian spies, according to the US Treasury Department, which has characterized the data as ‘sensitive information on polling and campaign strategy.'”
Manafort then confessed that he wasn’t trying to help Trump win the election but he did it purely just to make money.
Business Insider then wrote, “Manafort told Insider that he directed his deputy, Rick Gates, to feed Kilimnik polling data via email to ‘keep Konstantin informed.’ The goal was to use his access to Trump to drum up business for himself.
“The data that I shared with him was a combination of public information and stuff for the spring that was — it was old,” Manafort said.
Business Insider then explained that Paul Manafort had no reason to think that Kilimnik was Russian spy and Manafort believed that he was already vetted and cleared by Yanukovych’s staff. “None of us believed KK worked for Russian intelligence,” Manafort said.
