Cheney Stops Trump’s 2024 Run
Republican traitor Liz Cheney has just doubled down on her hate for former President Donald Trump and has now unveiled a new bill that aims to stop Trump from running again in 2024.
According to Newsweek, Republican Liz Cheney teamed up with Democrat congresswoman Zoe Lofgren to release a series of changes to the Electoral Count Act which “make it clear that Congress can’t overturn an election result.”
Cheney and Lofgren are now accusing former President Trump of committing numerous crimes to change the outcome of the election and trying to reinstall himself as president.
Cheney and the Democrats are also claiming that current candidates for offices and those who oversee future elections could try to change the outcome of upcoming elections.
They believe that Republicans could try to do what Trump again and laws must be changed to prevent it from ever happening again. Cheney and Lofgren wrote corrupt leaders could “perhaps [make] another attempt to corrupt Congress’s proceeding to tally electoral votes.”
Cheney now says that there needs to be changes made to the Electoral Count Act of 1887 on the basis of “four fundamental principles.” Cheney is also trying to take away the authority of future vice presidents from being able to reject official state electoral slates.
It is currently unclear if this new bill will actually get passed. However it’s obvious that Republicans will fight tooth and nail from preventing Democrats from making any changes to electoral college laws.
