Trump Kicks McConnell To The Curb
Former President Donald Trump unloaded on Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell while the House select Jan. 6 committee’s hearing was going on.
According to The Hill, Trump exposed McConnell and accused him of being a “disloyal sleazebag.”
Trump’s angry comments came after the Jan 6 Panel played a video of McConnell saying on the Senate floor during Trump’s second impeachment that he blamed Trump for inciting an attack on the United States Capitol.
Trump took to Truth Social and wrote, “Is this the same Mitch McConnell who was losing big in Kentucky, and came to the White House to BEG me for an Endorsement and help? Without me he would have lost in a landslide. A disloyal sleaze bag!”
Trump’s attack on McConnell came after Democrats abandoned their plan to reverse the 2017 tax cuts something which was one of Trump’s biggest accomplishments.
Trump and McConnell have been taking jabs at each other ever since McConnell said that Trump was “disgraceful dereliction of duty” during his second impeachment trial.
