Biden Blows Off Border Visit
As you know, President Biden was expected to visit the U.S. southern border over the weekend for the first time in his long political career. Conservatives expected that it was going to be nothing more than a publicity stunt and they were absolutely correct.
According to Fox, President Biden flew out of El Paso, Texas, after a very brief stop at the southern border however many critics are now claiming that he didn’t even visit the worst areas of the border proving he simply did it for optics.
President for the National Border Patrol Council Brandon Judd slammed President Biden for failing to visit what he called the “most problem-ridden areas.”
Judd stated, “You can look across the ports of entry on the entire southwest border, and that’s not where we’re seeing the illegal immigration. We’re seeing the illegal immigration between the ports of entry. That’s the Border Patrol. That’s the component of CBP that handles all of this. He did not have any scheduled visits with them.”
Adding, “You’re never going to be able to develop true policies and programs and operations unless you’re willing to see exactly what is going on. And he refused to do that.”
President Biden’s White House did what everyone expected them to do and actually defended Biden’s visit saying he “visited the busiest port of entry in El Paso to get a firsthand look at enforcement operations. He also visited a federally-funded migrant services center to meet with local officials working together with federal officials to support and shelter migrants.”
At this point it is obvious that Biden doesn’t care about the southern border. He has no intentions of truly fixing anything and Republicans are on their own. Hopefully the red states of Texas, Arizona and others can
