Trump Turns On GOP

Following the 2022 midterm elections, a number of Republicans including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell have blamed former President Donald Trump for the less than stellar success.

However, now former President Donald Trump has spoken out and is claiming that the reason Republicans lost is due to abortion along with Mitch McConnell’s poor leadership abilities.

According to Newsmax, Trump defended himself and explained, “It wasn’t my fault that the Republicans didn’t live up to expectations in the midterms. I was 233-20!”

Trump then pointed to abortion and how Republican failed to get their messaging clear.

Trump stated, “It was the ‘abortion issue,’ poorly handled by many Republicans, especially those that firmly insisted on no exceptions, even in the case of rape, incest, or life of the mother, that lost large numbers of voters. Also, the people that pushed so hard, for decades, against abortion, got their wish from the U.S. Supreme Court, & just plain disappeared, not to be seen again.”

Trump also doubled down on Mitch McConnell and explained how he refused to spend money on key battlegrounds and instead gave it to Sen. Lisa Murkowski.

“Plus, Mitch stupid $’s!” Trump wrote.
