Ocasio-Cortez Takes Over Party
In what can only be described as nothing short of a complete and total power trip, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez barked orders at Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and told him to make moderate Democrat Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s life “as difficult as possible.”
AOC did this because Sen. Sinema expressed her frustrations with how Sen. Schumer was conducting a floor vote in the upper chamber.
According to Fox, “Could we have some discipline in the votes, ever? You’re in charge!” Sinema said to Schumer.
Ocasio-Cortez then jumped on social media and told ordered Schumer to take even longer at conducting a floor vote just to give Sen. Sinema a hard time.
“Actually he should continue to make their lives as difficult as possible and treat them the way they treat, say, public housing residents. Or parents who rely on CTC [Child Tax Credit],” Democrat Ocasio-Cortez said. “When they improve, maybe process can improve too.”
“Why should we make the lives of obstructionists easier?” AOC then asked.
It’s becoming very strange to see Ocasio-Cortez overstep her boundaries and give top level Democrats orders. It has become clear that AOC has higher political asperations.
