While we still have a long time until 2024, former President Donald Trump isn’t wasting any time and is already letting Republicans know that they will have to fight if they want his spot.

Currently, the top two Republican presidential candidates for 2024 are Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Trump believe if he were to face DeSantis for the 2024 nomination he would easily defeat him.

In a recent interview with Yahoo News, after being asked about facing DeSantis, Trump said, “If I faced him, I’d beat him like I would beat everyone else.

Trump then said, “I don’t think I will face him. I think most people would drop out, I think he would drop out.”

While DeSantis has made a name for himself in the Republican Party, it appears that he isn’t interested in running in 2024.

When asked about a potential 2024 run by Fox’s Sean Hannity, DeSantis said, “I’m not considering anything beyond doing my job.”

DeSantis explained he is very busy taking care of the state of Florida and he is focused on winning the reelection next year.
