Pompeo Throws Trump Under The Bus
In a shocking turn of events, Donald Trump’s Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo decided to throw Trump under the bus regarding the recent FBI raid which happened at Mar-a-Lago.
It’s important to understand that Pompeo is likely going to announce a 2024 run and him attacking Trump could help him gain momentum and support.
According to the Washington Examiner, Pompeo’s comments came during a private event which was held by the Israel Heritage Foundation.
Pompeo was asked by someone at the event what former President Donald Trump was doing a year and a half after leaving office.
Pompeo joked and said, “He’s down in Mar-a-Lago, watching the FBI raid his home. What happened there is outrageous.”
He then slammed Trump and said, “no one gets to keep classified information outside of a place classified information should be. That is certainly true.”
Pompeo also attacked the DOJ and said, “But for the Department of Justice to behave the way they did by raiding the home of a former president is absolutely outrageous. And it is politicizing a Department of Justice that I fear is headed in a way that is not consistent with the understandings that we all have of the rule of law here in the United States.”
