The new bill forced voters who want to participate in presidential elections to show their proof of citizenship.

Accoridng to Fox, voters can prove their citizenship with things such as a driver’s license or tribal ID number, a copy of a birth certificate, passport or naturalization documents. This bill will also require voters to show their proof of home address to prove their live in Arizona.

This is amazing and a very good start to election integrity.

Governor Ducey further explained that the bill is “a balanced approach that honors Arizona’s history of making voting accessible without sacrificing security in our elections.”

State Rep. Jake Hoffman explained, “Arizonans will not have to re-register to vote. It will be business as usual for 99.9% of Arizona voters. This only effects a very small percentage of total voters, and even then, we actually grandfathered in all of those individuals who are already registered to vote that have some form of proof of citizenship on file.”
