It now appears that there is momentum gaining behind a Kamala Harris and former First Lady Michelle Obama duo who could soon seek to run in 2024 if Biden decides to opt out of his re-election.
According to Yahoo, a new Hill-HarrisX poll found that Kamala Harris lead most other Democrats to run for the 2024 presidential election with 13% support. Second came Michelle Obama with 10% support!
All other Democratic candidates, which included Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, Michael Bloomberg, Andrew Yang and Pete Buttigieg, received under 5% of support.
Just to be clear, this poll only took these candidates into consideration IF President Biden decided not to run in 2024.
What’s interesting here is that a whopping 35% of people claimed that they were unsure who they would vote for if Biden does not seek re-election. This is a clear indication that the Democratic Party has a lot of work to do before 2024.
