Pelosi SLAPPED With Lawsuit
Former President Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff Mark Meadows has just slapped Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and members of the January 6 select committee with a lawsuit.
According to Yahoo, the lawsuit came right after Meadows to no longer cooperate with the Jan. 6 committee and it is unclear what exactly Meadows is suing Pelosi and the others for.
Meadows and his cell phone carried Verizon were recently subpoenaed and he recently asked the courts to invalidate the “two overly broad and unduly burdensome subpoenas.”
Meadows explained that the subpoenas were “issued in whole or part without legal authority in violation of the Constitution and laws of the United States.”
The complaint further noted, “The Select Committee acts absent any valid legislative power and threatens to violate longstanding principles of executive privilege and immunity that are of constitutional origin and dimension.” Meadows also noted that they cannot subpoena Verizon because it violates his First Amendment rights.
Following the lawsuit, Republican Traitor Liz Cheney, along with another Democrat, came out and claimed that Meadows’ lawsuit was “flawed” and it won’t “succeed at slowing down the Select Committee’s investigation or stopping us from getting the information we’re seeking.”
