Is America The Most Divided Under Biden?

Biden Accepts Defeat

President Biden admitted Friday that Democrats do not have the votes needed to end the filibuster to pass abortion laws after he threatened to do so just a few days ago.

According to The Hill, Biden called on Democrats to change the filibuster so they can codify Roe v. Wade after the Supreme Court overturned it.

“Ultimately, Congress is going to have to act to codify Roe into federal law,” Biden said in a virtual meeting with Democrat governors.

“The filibuster should not stand in the way of us being able to do that, but right now we don’t have the votes in the Senate to change the filibuster,” Biden admitted. “That means we need two more votes.”

Democrat Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema are standing against their party and do not want to change the filibuster rule so it looks like Democrats are out of luck.

Biden is now scaring voters by telling them that Republicans would attempt to ban abortion nationwide after they gain control of the House and Senate after the midterm elections. “This is going to go one way or the other after November,” Biden said.
